HEY! It's me again...

Romina—part creative professional, part problem solver, and full-time believer in the power of great design. Born in Miami, creatively shaped in Nashville, and now based in the NY/NJ Metro Area, I’ve spent the past decade transforming ideas into thoughtful, strategic visuals.

I believe strong content is the foundation of strong design. When ideas are clear and intentional, the visuals follow. Whether shaping a brand identity, building design systems, or refining the smallest details, I focus on creating work that is both effective and effortless.

My experience spans in-house marketing teams and freelance projects, where I turn complex ideas into meaningful, engaging design. When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me baking or crafting for fun, overanalyzing restaurant menus, or spending time with my cat, Maggie.

Questions you (might) have

What’s your background in design?

I started in visual communication, and over the past decade, I’ve worked across in-house marketing teams and freelance projects, gaining experience in brand identity, large-scale design systems, and campaign-driven marketing. My strength lies in translating ideas into compelling, strategic visuals—whether for a brand refresh, a complex marketing rollout, or a thoughtfully designed experience. I enjoy balancing the creative and strategic sides of design, making sure every project not only looks great but serves a purpose

Do you prefer working in-house or freelance?

Each setting has shaped my approach to design, and I appreciate what they all bring to the table. In-house teams have given me insight into long-term brand building and how design integrates with different business needs. Freelance work has honed my ability to adapt, problem-solve, and manage projects independently. I thrive in collaborative environments where design is valued as a key part of the bigger picture—whether that’s in-house, as a creative consultant, or in a leadership role guiding a team.

How do you handle tight deadlines and high-pressure projects?

I approach high-pressure projects with a mix of structure, adaptability, and clear communication. I prioritize what’s most impactful and keep an open line of communication with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met. Having worked in fast-paced marketing teams, I know how to balance speed with quality—finding smart, strategic solutions that meet the deadline.

What role does storytelling play in your design approach?

I see design as a visual form of storytelling—whether it’s a brand identity, an ad campaign, or an environmental space. A strong design isn’t just aesthetically pleasing; it should guide, inform, and engage. I always start by understanding the message, the audience, and the intent so that the design enhances the story rather than competes with it. My goal is to create work that feels seamless and intuitive—where every element is there for a reason.

What’s next for you?

I’m looking for a role where I can blend hands-on design work with creative leadership. While I’ve led projects and mentored teammates, I’d love to step into a position where I can have a larger influence on brand strategy, creative execution, and team development.

I thrive in collaborative environments where design is valued as a strategic asset, and I’m eager to take on new challenges that push my creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Whether it’s as a lead designer, associate creative director, or brand design strategist, my goal is to help build impactful, cohesive brand experiences.

Great designer, great teammate, or both? (Spoiler: It’s both.)

Strong design skills? Check. Strategic thinking? Absolutely. Fun to work with? Always. I bring creativity, collaboration, and just the right amount of quirk to every project—whether that means problem-solving with precision, refining big ideas, or keeping the team entertained with an expertly placed meme.

So yes, you get both—a designer who delivers and a teammate who makes the process a little more fun along the way.

Applicant. Designer. Curator of Vibes.

Not just a playlist—a narrative. Crafted strategically, like any good marketer would.
